Page edges toned with minor stain to bottom edge, spine cocked (leaning). Jacket with several tears and chips, small piece of Mintie wrapper stuck to rear panel. 'The personal narrative of a Liverpool sailorman who, with his wife, carved a home out of the Tropical forest and raised a fine sturdy family there; thus contributing their small mite towards the great Work of Empire.' The original publication was printed in the 1920s. This revised manuscript was finished in 1950 and published in 1977 to commemorate the Centenary of the first settlement of Mareeba and Mossman areas. Size: 8vo.
