Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Presumed first edition, signed on title page by the artist, Don Gummer, with a presentation note dated 2001. Book's condition would be graded As New but for minute points of rubbing to binding at bottom corners and bottom spine end and minor ink transfer from the artist's signature to the preceding page. Otherwise, this copy would pass for New, and even smells new. Dust jacket is clean, bright, and unmarked, with no folds or tears and only very minor shelf wear and a barely visible 3" shallow indent apparently caused by a writing instrument. 64 pages, printed on quality glossy paper stock and profusely illustrated with b&w photos and bright color plates of the artist's work. "Through the insightful perspective of one of America's preeminent art critics, this publication traces the development - with photographs and prose - of the work of one of the country's most original and inventive sculptors." It "was published in conjunction with the touring exhibition" with the same title as the book.…
