First Edn., 1974; black boards; titling blocked in gilt (very bright) to spine; [vi]+106pp.; illus. bw. engravings. SIGNED, with a dedication ('To Chris With compliments and affection, John Talbot White'), by the AUTHOR to front free-endpaper. Spine/boards crisp and very clean/bright; front free-endpaper has area of scuffing (approx. 65mm x 15mm) to paper surface at fore-edge (author's signature/dedication not affected), but pages very clean/crisp/bright; dj. crisp/bright/very clean. Loosely inserted in the book is a typed poem, 'Summer Evening: Blackheath', with 'J.T.W. 1948' typed at bottom, and 'chez Christine MacKinter' written in ink (possibly by the author) at top (paper size approx. 245mm x 195mm; poem typed to recto; paper has one horizontal fold, but clean/crisp).
