For the College Library at Eton is very much alive. Books are now being given to it and books are now being bought for it, ranging from one like Tory's Champfleury, of which it may be said that the number of really great examples of printing in the Library had earned it a place, to an instance of Etoniana, namely, a little seventeenth-century ballad, the History of Mistris Jane Shore, telling the sad story of the lady who, according to legend, saved Eton from destruction by Edward IV. Above all, the rooms of the Library have been cleaned, redecorated and re-arranged, and it may be seen now to be among the most beautiful libraries in the world. 82 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences.
