Top inch of the f/ep has been cut off (probably had a previous owner's name) but another name written below. Otherwise a good clean tight copy in crimson boards of this hard-cover book which was originally printed in 1852 dealing with the Red River settlement at what is now Winnipeg, Manitoba. This is the 1972 edition printed by Hurtig, part of their ''Canadiana Reprint'' series. 416pp, b&w frontispiece. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
