Add to basketSoftcover. Condition: Very Good Minus. [ANARCHISM]. Paul Lafargue, Fred Thompson. "The Right to Be Lazy." Chicago, IL: Charles H. Kerr, 1975. English language. Stapled softcover pamphlet. 7 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches. 4 oz. [6], 80 pp. Wear and toning on wrappers. Text clean besides neat highlighting on one page. Very Good Minus. ISBN: 0882860267. "'The Right to Be Lazy' is a book by Paul Lafargue, published in 1883. In it, Lafargue, a French socialist, opposes the labor movement's fight to expand wage labor rather than abolish or at least limit it. According to Lafargue, wage labor is tantamount to slavery, and to fight as a labor movement for the extension of slavery is preposterous. In the book, Lafargue proposes the right to be lazy, in contrast to the right to work, which he deems bourgeois.".
