Signed by the author on the title page. Oblong 4to; original brown boards; laminated pictorial dustwrapper; endpaper facsimile; pp. 103 + (i); maps; photographs, largely in colour, and reproductions of contemporary artwork and photographs. Trace of foxing to edges and endpapers; ownership inscription to front pastedown. Very good condition. Should this book persuade those who pass through the Overberg to travel a little slower, or better still, to stop by the wayside, they will discover the rich beauty of its colour, chiaroscuro and landscape. If they can find time to wander there they will find relics of our country's earliest history.".…
