The author examines the various forms of repetition employed by the poet, including direct quotation, paraphrase, and allusion. The author argues that these repetitions serve a variety of purposes, including emphasizing important themes, creating a sense of unity and coherence, and providing a means for the poet to comment on his own work. The author's analysis sheds new light on the artistry of the Iliad and offers valuable insights into the creative process of one of the greatest poets in Western literature.
