This book collects and presents biographies of notable architects, sculptors, and painters who worked in Milan during the rule of the Visconti and Sforza families. The author has written this book to correct the historical record, which he believes emphasizes a single painter from this period at the expense of many other talented and historically significant artists. The author's research corrects this by highlighting the breadth and scope of these artists' talent and accomplishments and discuses how their contributions fit into the broader tapestry of the history of art in Italy. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
