In the 17th century, the scientific community, including the author, made considerable progress in the study of the natural world. This book showcases these advancements through the lens of meteorology, with a particular focus on the use of barometers to measure atmospheric pressure. The book discusses the applications of barometric readings to weather forecasting and provides insights into the relationship between changes in atmospheric pressure and weather patterns. Additionally, the book offers a comprehensive overview of optical phenomena in the atmosphere, including rainbows, halos, and mirages. It delves into the science behind these phenomena and provides detailed explanations of their causes and characteristics. By delving into the scientific methods and observations of this period, this book offers a valuable glimpse into the development of scientific thinking and the origins of modern meteorology.
