This book, a sermon delivered at Dunksewell Church in the wake of the death of a local woman, provides a poignant and deeply moving meditation on the nature of Christian life and death, taking as its central text Revelations xiv.13. The author, a local rector, draws upon the life and Christian faith of the deceased to explore the blessedness of those who die in the Lord, their works following them into eternity. Through a close reading of scripture and a personal exploration of the themes of faith, repentance, humility, and the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer, the author offers a profound and deeply moving reflection on the nature of Christian hope in the face of death.
