It traces the conception of missions from its origins in the New Testament, where the Spirit commissioned apostles to spread the message of salvation to all nations. The author contends that this scriptural foundation should be the guiding force for missionary endeavors today, with the Holy Spirit's role remaining central. The text highlights the scriptural emphasis on the Spirit's role in choosing and equipping missionaries, and the transformative power of the gospel to change lives and communities. By examining the experiences of early missionaries, the book delves into the ongoing conflict between good and evil and the ultimate triumph of Christ's kingdom. It concludes by emphasizing the significance of understanding the Holy Spirit's involvement in missions for the ongoing work of spreading the gospel and bringing about spiritual transformation worldwide.
