Contains English translations or Reprints of Garrison-Morton 241.1 [Boveri, in English translation], 505 [Roux, in English translation], 509 [Driesch, in English translation], 521 [Harrison], 530 [Spemann & Mangold, in English translation], 531.1 [Holtfreter, in English translation], as well as papers by E. B. Wilson, O. Warburg, F. Lillie, and C. M. Child. The Garrison-Morton annotations for these entries mistakenly cite Garrison-Morton 534.3, rather than this book, Garrison-Morton 534.41, as the source for the English translations. Contains three new articles not in the 1964 first edition, by Levi-Montalcini, Hamburger and Meyer (1954), Ito and Lowenstein (1969) and Summerbell, Lewis and Wolpert (1973).
