In which photographer Ziyah Gafic creates a visual, photographic archive of personal items exhumed from mass graves for victims of the Bosnian Genocide. The effort to sort and catalogue these items was an attempt by the International Commission on Missing Persons to help identify victims as well as to provide forensic evidence in war crimes investigations. Pictured are objects tragically mundane watches, basic toiletries, eyeglasses, dentures, postcards. Book, now in protective mylar covering, virtually as new. Negligible shelfwear, with page interiors stiff and clean. Faintest rubbing to front board next to spine and lower fore-edge. Otherwise in excellent shape.
