Paperback. Condition: Very Good. 1983 W.M. Zaring (Champaign, Illinois), 8 3/8 x 10 7/8 inches tall paperbound iin pale blue printed covers, index, ii, 90 pp. Very slight creasing and edgewear to covers. Otherwise, a near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce genealogy. ~QQ~ [1.5P] Looks at the ancestry of, and traces the known descendants of, Johannes Zehrung (b.1706), who immigrated from Germany to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He married first Anna Maria Crumm on May 7, 1730. They were the parents of six children. Anna Maria died Dec. 1, 1742. On Mar. 27, 1744, Johannes married Anna Maria Uhr. They were the parents of three children. Johannes married third Anna Elizabeth Lotz on May 2, 1760. They had one child. Descendants of Johannes and his wives scattered after the revolutionary war to Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and elsewhere. Many of them spell their surname as Zaring. In addition to hundreds of Zarings (and Zehrings and Zehrungs), other allied surnames which receive quite a bit of coverage include: Banayote, Box, Dawson, Dressler, Ferguson, Hatfield, Hawkins, Henry, Keesling, Maddox, Martin, Morgan, Russell, Stiles, Wilson, Young.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. A desirable first printing of Wilson M. Zaring's An Introduction to Analysis, published by Macmillan in 1967. This is a solid, early real?analysis text from the mid?century American school, and copies in collectible condition are increasingly uncommon. This example is notable for retaining its original dust jacket, a feature rarely seen on surviving copies, as most were heavily used in university settings. Even more unusually, the title page carries Zaring's own signature, making this one of the very few signed copies to appear on the market. The hardback binding is clean and sound, the interior is tidy, and the jacket shows only the expected light wear for its age. A scarce, well?preserved, and genuinely appealing copy of a classic analysis text, enhanced by both its jacket and the author's autograph. Signed by Author(s).
