Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. Limited. Dublin: Cuala Press, 1973. According to O'Donnell, "The Speckled Bird" dates to 1903-1907, when Yeats abandoned it as a novel; although he kept the typescript, it was not offered to a publisher. These are Near Fine copies of the First Edition, which is LIMITED to 500 copies. Gray paper-covered boards with a linen spine. Black titling on the front cover; paper label on the spine. Clean text; x, 87 pages; and 99 pages. All pages are unopened. Volume One has a copyright of 1973; volume Two is 1974; nonetheless, issued as a set at the same time. White paper dustwrappers and a gray slipcase with paper label. The slipcase shows some floodmarks and there is some minor rippling of some pages; may have encountered water at some time in its life, but does not really detract from a very nice production of one of the great poet's more obscure works. . Limited. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
