But the band was nearly gasping and a desp'rate charge they made. All the boys were drinking whiskey in temp'rance Brigade!" Comic song - ends with the boys in the Brigade drinking Whiskey and becoming paralytic. Seems to be a parody on more serious temperance songs! Only 1 institutional holding listed (Oxford). Rare in the trade. Moderate wear to wrappers (chipping to edges and corners and age-toning, soiling). Wrappers detached, previous owner's signature in pencil to front wrapper. A Good example. Buff wrappers printed in black ink. Elaborate printing to front wrapper. Now housed in a clear archival mylar sleeve.
