These are Potter's preliminary sketches for this work written in 1906 but not published until 1971. No inscriptions, tiny pale spot on lower board, otherwise Fine in near Fine DUSTWRAPPER… (dw: not price clipped, just very slightly darkened on spine and in margins next to spine, very slightly in top margin on upper panel, pink title on spine faded as often).
