Attractive contemporary prize binding of full red calf, the boards ruled in gilt, with gilt crest for Nottingham High School to the upper board; the spine with five raised bands, compartments decorated in gilt, and with morocco title label lettered in gilt. Marbling to page edges. Marbled endpapers. Engraved prize plate dated 1906 to the front pastedown. Engraved frontispiece portrait of Wordsworth, with tissue-guard. pp. lxvii, 928. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with a small nick to the head of the spine, a little fading to the spine and a touch of rubbing to the extremities. The contents with scattered foxing to the preliminary pages are otherwise in very good order throughout. A nicely-bound edition of Wordsworth's poetical works.
