Uncommon mathematical paper on the geometric calculation of the orbits of planets. The paper was written by Wijkström under the guidance of Klingenstierna, with t…he opening paragraphs referencing Newton, Kepler & Brae. Samuel Klingenstierna [ 1698 - 1765 ] Swedish mathematician & astronomer who was made Professor at Uppsala in 1728. Apart from his contributions to the field of refraction ( noting errors in Newton's theories on the matter ) he was also involved in the invention of the achromatic telescope. Anders Wijkström [ 1726 - 1763 ] mathematician & astronomer who wrote a second similar paper in 1752. HL11951. 100 grams.
