An early draft of a project that underwent heavy rewrites by director Diane Ladd before finally being shot in 1995. Shot on location in Toronto, Ontario. Red titled Studio Duplicating Service wrappers with credits for screenwriter and novelist Ella Leffland. A sick steamship crewman attempts to clear his name while being blackmailed for wartime collaboration with the Japanese. Liberace's first credited film appearance, as a cabaret performer named "Maestro." Set on the fictional Pacific island of Oraka. Tan textured titled wrappers, noted as REVISED FINAL SHOOTING SCRIPT on the front wrapper, dated June 14, 1949. Title page present, noted as Revised Final Screenplay, with credits for screenwriter Oscar Brodney. 123 leaves, with last page of text numbered 109. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue, yellow, pink, and white revision pages throughout, dated variously between 6/15/49 and 7/21/49.
