Minor sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Lettering is clear. Visible wear marks to boards.

Letters and errata slip loosely inserted. Spine faintly sunned; upper board slightly rippled. Title page and first leaf of forewords corner-creased with associated small nicks; p. 141 annotated at foot in green ink. Author's signature to half-title in purple ink, dated in year of publication. Jacket a little wrinkled with 2cm split at rear fold, with associated creasing. A Very Good copy in like jacket. Biography of the English Shakespearian actor-manager Ben Greet (1857-1936), with forewords by Sybil Thorndike, Malcolm Morley and Leslie French. The letters from the Author are inscribed in purple ink, and the second in sequence is dated 1965, the year following publication; both letters request payment for the book and one refers to the edition as being limited to only 300 copies. Scarce.
