When the author lost his beloved spaniel he took to writing a monthly column for Argosy Magazine entitled 'Letter to My Dog' This book collects together for the first time some of the best of them. William Beach Thomas, KBE, (22 May 1868 - 12 May 1957) was a British author and journalist known for his work as a war correspondent during World War I and for his writings about nature and country life.
