Marbled end papers. 832 pp., gilt edged, with a number of black and white illustrations. The book is in good condition with quite heavy shelf-wear to the extremities of the cover; the spine is largely split from the boards but still firmly attached, there is damage to the head and tail of the spine. The binding is a little slack. There is a dedication on the reverse of the ffep dated 1898. There is light foxing to the reverses of the feps, half title and last page of the index. There is very light tanning to the extremities of the pages which are otherwise clean and unmarked.
