Note that this is a heavy and oversized book, so additional postage will be required for international or priority orders. ~H~ [4.0P] First, sliding polynomials are discussed with emphasis on structure, algebraic derivation and wide scope of utility. Second, numerical analysis is treated as a cohesive set of operations. These operations extend from simple interpolation through smoothing and basic probability analysis, and well into the solution of differential equations. Cohesion is provided by consistent use of sliding polynomials in all operations.
