The authors, Robert and Christopher Wilkinson-Latham, bring to the subject a family tradition of military historical knowledge: Wilkinson Sword has served the British sovereign and army in the field of military uniforms, weapons, and accoutrements for eight generations. Jack Cassin-Scott, who has specialized in military illustration, has created a gallery of authentic pictures which captures something of the klan of the great regiments of Life Guards, Horse Guards, Dragoon Guards, Hussars, and Lancers.
