The original descriptions of Deroceras caruanae, panormitanum and pollonerae are studied and compared with one another. There seems to be no evidence to consider D. caruanae as a junior synonym of D. panormitanum and/or of D. pollonerae. Therefore the authors propose to maintain a valid specific status for all three taxa, pending the availability of topotypic material. 5 pp., gr. 8.
