Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. RAILROADS VERMONT S GRANITE RAILROADS BY JONES, MAXFIELD & GOVE 1985 1ST DJ. I am adding lots of additional books from a recent acquisition to my growing catalog of railroad-related listings, now numbering over 100 items. Here for your consideration…is another, this one titled: Vermont s Granite Railroads the Montpelier & Wells River and the Barre & Chelsea, by Robert C. Jones, Whitney J. Maxfield, & William G. Gove. This large hard cover book (8 ¾ x 11 ¼ inches, 277 pages) was published by the Pruett Publishing Company of Boulder, Colorado, dated 1985 and the First Edition/First Printing. It is bound in deep red paper covered boards with white titles on the spine and protected by a pictorial dust jacket. According to the flap of the dust jacket: Over 300 fine historical photographs illuminate both railroad operations and the techniques used in quarrying granite. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The only fault I can find is that the spine of the dust jacket is a bit faded by the sun; otherwise, it is in very good condition, almost without any sign of use or wear. The hard covers are bright, clean and handsome. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages and photos are clean and bright throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight, sound and square. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
