    No Binding. Condition: Good. M STRETCH (illustrator). An original antique engraving, from the Illustrated Sporting & Dramatic News of 1879, showing Mr Charles Warner as Coupeau, in "Drink". The portrait has been folded, and has had to be strengthened at the fold, with archival quality tape. This engraving is too large to post mounted (matted) and will be sent rolled in a tube.

'Woodbury type', photographed by Lock and Whitfield, london, and above a printed signature. Mounted and ready to frame. An excellent opportunity to purchase a fascinating theatrical portrait. On one occasion in executing a dance on stage he fell through a trap door which gave way and the performance had to be suspended until Miss bella pateman, playing opposite him, recovered from laughing hysterics.!
