Horton challenges the popular idea that Christianity's primary role is to "save" Western civilization. He argues that Christianity is not a civilizational preservation project but a proclamation of the gospel. Civilizations rise and fall, but the kingdom of God operates on a different plane. Rather than trying to restore a Christianized society, Horton urges Christians to focus on faithful witness, church life, and the distinct message of grace, which stands apart from political or cultural agendas.
