Contents clean and lightly toned, with occasional foxing, mostly on the preliminaries. Contemporary cursive ownership inscription to the front free endpaper of each volume, dated 1872. Bindings remain sound and square. Cloth moderately rubbed at the extremities, with fraying and small losses at the spine heads and tails; corners bumped.
