Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. First Edition. Adventures by Sea of Edward Coxere. A Relation of the Several Adventures by Sea with the Dangers, Difficulties and Hardships I Met for Several Years As Also the Deliverances and Escapes through them for which I have Cause to Give The Glory to God For Ever. THIS first American printing is in good overall condition with a few phyical defects from it's long life. Even though this is stamped on the title page as belonging to the "Greenhill School Library - Dallas Texas," there appears to be no additional stamping or typical "check out list!" Even though the cover edges are heavily worn, the pages are remarkably clean with only the foldout map page being neatly separated from the binding. Interesting illustrations using an early form of photography/xerography to make the sepia-toned images look "antique" as the journal takes place in the 17th century. According to the Introduction, this is the first printing, taken from a manuscript bought at auction in 1943. Very interesting history here! Hard cover edition without dustjacket. 190 pages. Dimensions: 5" by 6". Published by Oxford University Press, New York. 1st printing, 1946. B&W illustrations. Beige binding. Cover defect(s): Some fading. Moderate corner/edge damage. Page defect(s): Some writing. Some loose pages. 1.5 Pound Media Shipping Rate with Multiple Product Orders. (Min Shipping Rate 1 Pound per Order). Order More and SAVE! Trade paperback, New, 172 pp. "Bollond is a book which could have been written by no one else but the obscure and strangely-obsessed E. H. W. Meyerstein (1889 -1952). The novel, put to paper in 1920, but, due to its content, never published during the author's lifetime, tells of the adventures of Reginald Bolland who, after being expelled from both school and home, sets out for the West End of London, where he is torn between becoming a rent boy, a toy boy, a poet, or an actor. Existing in a world of homosexuals, street-cads, prostitutes, and drug-takers, this highly stimulating story is an anti-classic of a very high order.".
