Original circular stickerette, the recto with text and illustrations printed in black, with the verso lightly gummed (measuring 3" x 3"). Fine. Date based on the I.W.W. headquarters address at 1001 West Madison St., Chicago, which the organization occupied from July, 1917, to March, 1925. A well-preserved example of the ephemeral "silent agitator," most of which were attractively designed by the Wobbly poet and illustrator Ralph Chaplin, produced to be plastered on any and all surfaces for the recruitment of potential members, including itinerant workers and tramps. This example advertises the Minneapolis-based local union, with the interior image shows various tools used by the workers, including a workhorse. 87222.
