Signed and inscribed by the author to the front free endpaper, with a message that reads: "To Ron, Happy Martinis!", dated April 1998. Illustrated throughout with colour photographs. A detailed and comprehensive collector's guide to bar ware, with commentary on the wide array of dazzling wares produced in the first half of the twentieth century, especially in the age of the cocktail - the 1920s and 1930s. From corkscrews and glasses to serving trays and cocktail shakers, this guide explores all the vintage items, not forgetting the highly collectable cocktail napkins, swizzle sticks, recipe books, ice buckets, and ash trays. With tips for identification and a contemporary value guide.
