Laufzeit DVD; der klassische Plot: Frau (Samantha, gespielt von Julia Roberts) zieht es mit Mann (Jerry, das ist Brad Pitt) in die Traumstadt Las Vegas, dumm aber, dass der Mann noch einen letzten - allerletzten, wird beteuert - Auftrag zu erledigen hat. Und umso problematischer, dass der Mannin mafiösen Umfeld agiert, schlecht nein sagen kann und der Auftrag verwickelter ist, als es anfangs scheint. Unversehens sieht sich Samantha als Geisel mit im Spiel. Am Ende endet s ganz konventionell: "Ich liebe Dich, Jerry", hören wir am Schluss des Abspanns - die Leinwand ist schon dunkel - noch. Doch der Film hat ein paar originelle Szenen und Bilder - die Ampel! -, und vor allem ist er ein hübsche Satire der traditionellen Wetsren-, Agenten- etc. -klischees (wie es heute eben so läuft: im Grunde zitieren Filme immer Filme, die Filme zitieren.), inkl. schwulem Killer (nein, keine Angst, nicht so n platter "Schuh des Manitou"-Verschnitt oder ähnliches!). Das alles verstehen und schätzen denn wohl eher Erwachsene, weshalb die Altersfreigabe ab 12 Jahren nicht ganz so passend erscheint (ab 16 wäre sinnvoller), obwohl es von den obligatorischen Schiessereien abgesehen eigentlich nicht so brutal zugeht. Die pädagogische Message wiederum ist allerdings nicht so ganz jugendkompatibel: traue niemandem und ziele immer richtig - am besten endgültig. Gramm 200.
