"Venus von Milo" (die richtige Bezeichnung wäre "Aphrodite von Melos"). Der Verfasser Charles-Othon Comte de Clarac (1777-1847); Künstler und Altertumswissenschaftler; Konservator im Louvre - er war dort für die Sammlung Klassischer Skulpturen zuständig.
