These 29 essays originally written as radio talks, were broadcast over the Northern Service of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation under the title "As a Matter of Fact" and were produced by Mrs. Maja van Steensel-James in co-operation with the Montreal office of the Arctic Institute of North America.
