William Henry Bartlett (illustrator). I have hesitated to list this book because of the rediculous costs associated with shipping to Canada; so much for North American free trade. I have intentionally lowered the price to help mitigate the inenvitable. This book according to the title page contains "all the Canadian engravings of William Henry Bartlett." Most of them are in b&w but a few are colored, and most of the scenes are stunning! Oh Canada, indeed. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket is missing and the hard covers are a bit dust dulled, with a few smudges and spots but nothing extreme. Inside, there is a Christmas gift inscription on the title page (if only people would think before they defile a fine book; excuse me for getting a bit cantankerous in my old age), but fortunately, that is the only mark I found in the book. There are some light incidences of foxing along the bottom edge but you will have to look carefully to see them. The interior pages and plates are clean and bright otherwise. Both hinges are intact and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
