Leslie Tseng-Tseng Yu, the artist and author of several books (this one very well-reviewed) has signed and inscribed (with a chinese seal as well) this book on the front free end paper. And that is rare, singularly rare, as not one other of her books for sale on the Internet is signed. The book is in excellent condition. The covers are spotless. The only wear are two small bump/creases, one at the bottom front corner and one at the bottom rear corner. Red lettering on the spine is very bright. The edges and spine ends are perfect. And the book is very solidly bound, straight and square. As for the interior of the book, it's more of the same. The book is exceptionally clean. Leafing through, I didn't see any instances of soiling. No one has written their name or anything else on any page. There aren't any markings, nor creases, nor dogeared corners. Terrific looking book with black-and-white illustrations throughout and eight pages of seven beautiful color plates at the end of the book. As you can see from the photographs, the dust jacket is in very nice shape. It is quite clean with a little bit of darkening around the middle edges. There is one tiny tear at the top edge of the front cover and another one at the top of the spine, and a small spot of loss at the top of the rear cover adjacent to the middle edge. That's about it. The dust jacket is NOT clipped. It will be fitted with a protective cover. Inscribed by Author(s).
