First edition of this fascinating history of the famed narrow gauge railroad connecting Colorado & New Mexico over rugged twisting route terrain, which adopted the use of modifying Buick & Pierce Arrow Touring Cars and Limousines into one-man operator vehicles to carry passengers and mail along the route. These curious automobile/locomotive hybrids could be fitted with snowplows, rotary snowplows, cow catchers, and eventually were sheathed in aluminum and dubbed the Galloping Geese of the RGS.
