Very large and thick quarto, from the era when more than a handful of publishers still had the wherewithal to produce such a product; glossy illustrated prefect-bound wraps (front cover has a bars and diamond pattern, creating an alternating glossy and matte cover finish - zoom on cover scan); truly hefty at 272 pp. Front cover has one small closed tear at bottom edge (see scan), and both covers show faint signed of handling. Contents are immaculate throughout but for some modest crinkle to the first few and last few pages. A scarce condition for an issue scarce in any condition. Surface was a publication started in 1993 to creatively offer "design, architecture, fashion, culture and travel with print and digital publications". This Fall Fashion 2003 issue is truly replete with exceptional professional photography, as a result. A very hard find in any condition for the genre collector. See all scans.
