Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Good +; bumped tail; bottom board edge shelfwear; foxing and dust soiling to textblock top. DJ: Very Good; light edge bumping, superficial scratches; missing small pieces at top of rear panel at tip. Blue cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. 412 pp 8vo. Sam Bird was a pallbearer on President Kennedy's casket detail and was headed for higher military positions until the day in 1967 he received a head wound in Vietnam that changed his life. Brain damage and paralysis had to be overcome but luckily he was reunited with his childhood sweetheart and they began a journey together. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
