Original photographically illustrated olive green wrappers (near fine and tight, minor wear at edges including a 5mm closed tear to fore-edge of upper, internally fine). HPK, Jr. writes in the foreword: "As Keith was the most talented British amateur to employ LeGray's waxed paper negative process, his rare prints have long been sought after and are legendary among photographic cognoscenti." He continues, "The unique album catalogued herein, 'Fragments of Edinburgh in the Olden Time' with 100 salt prints by Keith and his colleagues, is the 'grail' of 19th century British photography." The entire album catalogued with thumbnail illustrations at rear (pp. 65-77); 44 plates reproduced from the originals by Robert J. Hennessey and printed by Meriden Printing. Scarce.
