Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. Thomas Bewick (illustrator). Book Club Edition. First printing from The Folio Society. Introduction by Peter Levi. In fine plus three quarter oatmeal coloured linen-effect cloth with blue calf spine and gilt titles. The boards are nearly in as new condition - very firm, flat and clean and strong spine ends and edges. The text block is illustrated with wood engravings by Thomas Bewick. The pages are very tightly bound, even and clean, the front free end paper has a slight crease. In fine plus condition. The top cut edge and the end papers are in a bright orange/brown colour. In fine beige thick card slipcase. There is one small mark on it.
