Condition: Fine. - Octavo, 8-1/2 inches high by 5-1/2 inches wide. Softcover, bound in pictorial tan wrappers titled in brown on the front cover. The rear cover is slightly soiled. 55 pages, with illustrations by the poet's children Kristin and John Tescher. Near fine. First edition, inscribed by the poet on the title page, "To good friends / Dr. and Mrs. Brugsch / Affectionately Don".Laid in is a homemade Christmas card featuring Elinor Wylie's poem "Parting Gift", and with a full-page autograph message to Dr. & Mrs. Brugsch signed Don Tescher.Tescher, 1917-2013, was a theater director and writer.Brugsch was a German physician in exile. He was a specialist in rheumatism and arthritis and at one time the medical director of Prudential Insurance Co.
