Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. A Souvenir Programme for Marie Tempest's Jubilee in 1935, bound in blue cloth hardcovers, and VG. Measures 12" x 9"with bright red facsimilie signature of Tempest to front board. Programme has three boards opening both right and left, with third board in centre at back. Contributuions by Sir James Barrie, W.A. Darlington, Colour plates from design work of George Sheringham, Brief Biography of Tempest and complete list of her performances. Short pieces by Somerset Maugham , Edward German, Landon Ronald etc. Players masque was perfomed by Gielgud, Hardwicke, Edith Evans, Gladys Cooper, Felix Aylmer, Peggy Ascroft, and many more. This matinee performed at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane on 28/5/1935. Thick white, silk bookmark attached, some foxing spots, otherwise Vg.
