      Hardcover. Condition: Good. Pictorial boards are a bit worn around edges and a bit grubby. Covers depicts "Four Merry Maids" by E. Brice. Lovely colour frontis. Some pencil inscription to half title page. Some light foxing to some pages but overall the book is in good condition for its age and type. First story is "Carry On!" by Bernard Rutley. "Oxford Books" series.

      Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Circa 1930. Paper covered boards, a little rubbed to the edges, with an illustration labelled Scouting Days of a man on a horse. Colour frontispiece and b + w illustrations. Original owner's name and date 1931 in pencil to the inner board, a few fingerprints, otherwise internally clean. Adventure stories include Trapped! A Scouting Story' by Walter Rhodes and stories by Mark Harborough, Harold Avery and Captain G B McKean V.C. and a poem by William Pitt.
