Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Third Edition. Nice condition third edition hardcover in olive green cloth covered boards with black titles and illustrations on both covers. Corners bumped and rubbed, small chip at head of spine cloth, all text legible but some faded from years of storage. Delicate green/cream floral endpapers with strong hinge papers, 46pp sewn text plus a 22pp advertising section (with some illustrations) is tight, crisp and clean despite a spine crack at page 32/33. No names or soil but one page in the rear advert section has 2 marginal open chips and a closed tear now repaired w/archival repair adhesive. A series of articles originally appearing in the columns of the Stock-Keeper reprinted for the general public. In doing so, we are greatly influenced by the opinion we entertain that many scores of dog lovers will find their initial difficulties as the owners of kennels, or even of a single pet, materially lessened by a careful perusal of these pages. Includes Choosing a Breed, General Management, Treatment of a Brood Bitch, Further Hints, Common Diseases and A Glossary of Fancy Terms.
