Condition: Very good. - More than 60 words penned on two sides of of a folded sheet of creamy white "Stevens Institute of Technology" letterhead. Measuring 8 inches high by 5 inches wide, the letter is addressed to lecture tour manager Major James B. Pond. Stevens writes to Pond thanking him in advance for sending a copy of his…book, "Eccentricities of Genius". Signed "Alex C Humphreys". Pond has stamped the word "BOOK" on the letter indicating that he has sent the book. The letter has been folded for mailing else fine. Alexander Crombie Humphreys (1851-1927) was an engineer who in 1902 was unanimously chosen to be the second President of Stevens Institute of Technology. As President he oversaw enormous growth in the school.
