Hardcover. First Edition, First Printing. 9 x 12in. Unpaginated, complete. Publisher's quarter cloth over decorative paper-covered boards. Signed and inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: "To grandmother Ethel K. Nichols and to grandfather Harry D. Nichols with our cordial Happy New Year's greetings and [illegible] Alfred Sutro (Adam Smart) December 27, 1938." FINE/AS NEW in scarce Near Fine dust jacket protected in a removable archival cover. The book itself is Fine/As New having been exceptionally well maintained. The dust jacket shows marginal shelf rubbing along the edges, else Fine. As pictured.
